Fassssssscinating workshop with expert Tim Vorster at Taalmonument

Snakes are everywhere, but most of them aren’t dangerous at all and play a crucial role in nature’s delicate balance. Still, it’s smart to be prepared, which is why the Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument (ATM) invites you to an exciting workshop on SATURDAY, 1 NOVEMBER 2025, where experienced snake fundi Tim Vorster will share his knowledge and insider tips with you.
Learn and understand:
- How to correctly identify snakes
- What to do if someone is bitten
- How to safely handle these fascinating reptiles
Vorster will give practical advice from his many years of experience, supported by the African Snakebite Institute (ASI), founded in 2012 by the legendary Johan Marais. ASI isn’t just any organisation — they’re accredited by the International Society of Zoological Sciences (ISZS) and the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
