Jazz, love and beautiful voices for Valentine’s Day
Celebrities celebrate romance in the Taalmonument’s intimate Garden Theatre

It’s a night of music, picnics, tenderness and natural beauty this Valentine’s Day when the Jazz & Liefde Picnic Concert takes place on SATURDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2026 at the Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument (ATM) on the picturesque Paarl Mountain. This time, a unique combination of outstanding jazz, soulful voices and, of course, love under the stars awaits.
The stage will glitter with performances by Anna Davel, Candice Thornton, Darryn Govender, Melisizwe Plaatjie, as well as Chadleigh Gowar & SLB. Each artist brings a unique style and emotional depth that will touch the audience in different ways. Together they create a sound experience perfectly suited to a romantic summer evening.
Gates open at 17:00 and the music starts at 18:00, after which the evening’s rhythms and harmonies will continue to stir up the love. It runs until 22:00, giving couples and friends ample time to socialise, listen and relax. Guests may bring their own picnic baskets and drinks (no glass/fires), but food stalls will be available. Please remember blankets, warm clothing and a torch.
