In honour of Women’s Month, the Afrikaanse Taalmuseum en -monument (ATM) spoiled a few women with a trip to the monument this past Wednesday. The 42 guests consisted of women from the Athlone House of Strength (a shelter for victims of domestic violence) in Paarl and the ATM as well as the donors and media partners The Grapevine, Radio KC, Landskroon Wines, Paarl Post and Lu’s Guesthouse. Guests were entertained with songs by locals Seridia Lee and Carl Hendricks, and motivational talks were given by Nicoleen Jansen of the ATM as well as Lee Jordan Jacobs, a Mr. SA 2020 semi-finalist from Paarl.
