In the run-up to the reopening of the Afrikaanse Taalmuseum en -monument (ATM) to the public, the institution held a successful networking session with various roleplayers at the monument in the past week. Its purpose was to cultivate and strengthen new and existing relationships with tour operators, guest houses, media partners, sponsors and other tourism organisations, and to join hands with the tourism sector during the Covid-19 pandemic. The ATM also announced its official reopening on 1 October 2020 and discount rates.

The session consisted of a short welcoming speech after which Hybré van Niekerk from Paarl Historical Walk and Tours gave a short heritage overview. Afterwards, guests were taken on a guided tour of the monument before raffles and further informal conversations took place. We thank everyone for their contributions as well as the community’s continued support of the ATM.
