Celebrate Taalmonument with Jeodhouse Band

Magical music and picnic as well as The Fantastics will make a wonderful summer evening even more wonderful

The Afrikaans Language Museum and Monument (ATM) celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2025. And to start off on a high note, the Jazz, R&B and pop sensation Jeodhouse Band will once again perform on Paarl Mountain during a balmy summer evening with magical music, perfect picnics and incredible views. On SATURDAY, 25 JANUARY 2025, they will also be supported opening act The Fantastics, a local Paarl band that has everyone excited.

Jeodhouse’s talented musicians not only represent decades of music and entertainment experience, but is renowned for their toe-tapping performances that keep audiences glued to the dance floor. Their wide variety of music styles also includes fun, unique Afrikaans songs. The passionate The Fantastics play R&B and Jazz, among other things, and have performed all over the Western Cape.

The gates open at 18:00, after which children can frolic in the gardens and playgrounds while guests are encouraged to explore the surroundings and the symbol-laden sculpture. At 19:00, the music, dancing and socialising will begin in full swing!

Guests are welcome to bring their own picnics and drinks (no glass) or to order picnics in advance at Suikerkan via 082 216 2510 or info@diesuikerkan.co.za – this bistro will also sell refreshments during the event. Dress warmly and bring a torch; ample parking is available. The event will last until 22:00.
