alt

  • It will take you approximately half an hour to complete the Taalmonument walking trail of 1.2km.
  • It is suitable for both the fit AND unfit, but appropriate shoes are essential.
  • The route is easily accessible (it starts and ends right in front of Volksmond Coffee Shop).
  • Groups of bigger than 20 persons must pre-book.
  • How much does it cost? A hiking permit costs the same as the normal Taalmonument entrance fee (adults: R15/R20 from 1 April 2013, students: R10, children: R5, and free entrance for children under six years.) Please ask for a hiking permit instead of a normal entrance ticket at the gate.
